# NPI Mark - US healthcare provider data > Search every US healthcare provider - physicians, nurses, therapists, pharmacists and the > organizations they work for - with the date every field was last confirmed. Public pages > carry identity, specialty and practice location; signed-in customers can reveal > work email, home address and cell phone one provider at a time, export lists, append their > own files, and use the same data over a REST API. Every page here is server-rendered HTML that needs no JavaScript to read, and carries schema.org JSON-LD saying the same things in a machine-readable form. Counts on a page are read from the platform when the page is built, never typed in; a count that cannot be read is left out rather than guessed. Where a record came from is not published - what it holds and how current it is, is. ## What a record carries - Identity (refreshed weekly): Name, credentials, NPI, individual or organization, active status, enumeration date. - Specialty (refreshed weekly): Primary and secondary taxonomies, classification and specialisation, licence state. - Location (refreshed weekly): Practice and mailing address, phone and fax, additional locations, ZIP and radius search. - Affiliation (refreshed monthly): Employer and group affiliations, reassignments, organization NPI where one exists. - Contact (refreshed continuous): Verified work email with a trust tier, practice phone; home address and mobile on contracted plans. - Standing (refreshed monthly): Federal programme exclusions, opt-out and revocation flags, sanction dates. - Facilities (refreshed monthly): Hospitals, hospices, home health, nursing and dialysis facilities, and who owns them. - Home address and mobile are matched to individual providers and are available only to signed-in customers on plans that include them, one record at a time. ## Start here - [Home](https://npimark.com/): what this is, the live provider count, and the search box. - [What is in the data](https://npimark.com/data): the field catalogue for a provider and an organisation record, the refresh cadence of each group, the work-email trust tiers and what each one means, how suppression is applied, and what the platform does not hold. Carries `Dataset` markup describing the whole collection. - [Field reference](https://npimark.com/fields): the data dictionary: every field a provider, organisation or facility record carries, with what it means in plain English, what it is used for, how complete it is where that is measured, what it costs, and the name it travels under in the API, in an export column and in the append tool. Carries `DefinedTermSet` markup. - [Directory](https://npimark.com/directory): the way into every browsable family - providers and organisations by name, certified facilities by kind and place, specialists by metro. - [Provider search](https://npimark.com/search): by name, NPI, state, city, ZIP, specialty and type. Visitors see 25 rows a page and up to 10 pages; contact details are locked. - [API reference](https://npimark.com/docs/api): the /v1 surface, the scope each route needs, and what every refusal means. ## Professions - [Physicians](https://npimark.com/physicians): physician data by specialty, state and employer. - [Nurses & NPs](https://npimark.com/nurses): nurse practitioner, registered nurse and advanced practice nursing data. - [NPs & PAs](https://npimark.com/advanced-practice-providers): nurse practitioners and physician assistants together, the prescribers a physician list misses. - [Dentists](https://npimark.com/dentists): dentists and dental specialists, with the practices they own and work in. - [Mental health](https://npimark.com/mental-health-providers): psychologists, counsellors and clinical social workers, with psychiatrists counted separately as a physician specialty. - [Pharmacists](https://npimark.com/pharmacists): pharmacists and the pharmacies they dispense from, people and organizations kept apart. - [PT, OT & speech](https://npimark.com/physical-occupational-therapists): physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists. - [Eye care](https://npimark.com/optometrists-ophthalmologists): optometrists and ophthalmologists, the two halves of eye care in one search. - [Chiropractors](https://npimark.com/chiropractors): chiropractors by state, city and practice. - [Podiatrists](https://npimark.com/podiatrists): podiatrists and foot and ankle surgeons, by state and practice. - [All professions](https://npimark.com/healthcare-professionals): every profession - dental, pharmacy, therapy, behavioural health - and the organizations behind them. ## Directories and lists - [Providers A-Z](https://npimark.com/directory/providers): every active individual with an NPI, by name prefix. A small prefix lists its names, each linked to its own page; a large one lists the longer prefixes under it with counts. - [Organisations A-Z](https://npimark.com/directory/organizations): the same, for practices, clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories and suppliers. - [Hospitals](https://npimark.com/hospitals): certified hospitals (acute care, critical access, psychiatric and specialty hospitals) by state and by town, towns with 3 or more. - [Nursing homes](https://npimark.com/nursing-homes): certified nursing homes (skilled nursing facilities, with star ratings for inspections, staffing and quality) by state and by town, towns with 3 or more. - [Home health agencies](https://npimark.com/home-health-agencies): certified home health agencies (certified agencies delivering skilled care at home) by state and by town, towns with 3 or more. - [Hospices](https://npimark.com/hospices): certified hospices (certified hospice providers) by state and by town, towns with 3 or more. - [Dialysis centers](https://npimark.com/dialysis-centers): certified dialysis centers (outpatient dialysis facilities) by state and by town, towns with 3 or more. - [Lists](https://npimark.com/lists): provider lists by taxonomy and facility lists by type. Each list page gives counts refreshed nightly - records, with work email, with a trusted-tier email, with practice phone, with practice location - a by-state table, the fields a record carries and a clearly labelled invented sample record. Each carries `Dataset` markup. - [Health systems and chains](https://npimark.com/systems): health systems and facility chains - headquarters, certified beds, the states each operates in, ownership, and how many hospitals, nursing homes, home health and hospice agencies, physician groups and outpatient centers each has. Ownership describes a system's general acute care hospitals, weighted by beds, so it qualifies a system and never one facility. Providers are counted, never listed. Carries `CollectionPage` markup. - [Leadership by role](https://npimark.com/leadership): the people who run certified facilities - CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CIOs, chief medical and nursing officers, administrators, directors of nursing, medical directors, compliance officers, board members and owners - counted by role, facility type and state. Counts only; nobody is named. - [Glossary](https://npimark.com/glossary): a reference glossary of healthcare professions and credential letters - generalist physicians, medical specialties, surgical specialties, hospital-based and diagnostic specialties, advanced practice and nursing, dentistry, behavioural health, therapy and rehabilitation, eye care, other clinical professions, credential letters. One page per term at /glossary/, each explaining what the profession is, how its people train and where they practise, then what the platform holds on that population: records, records with a confirmed work email, records with a practice phone, and the states with the most. Written reference, not a count: the explanation is the page and the figures are read live, so a figure that cannot be read is absent rather than zero. - Glossary terms: family-medicine-physicians (Family medicine physician), internal-medicine-physicians (Internal medicine physician), pediatricians (Pediatrician), cardiologists (Cardiologist), interventional-cardiologists (Interventional cardiologist), endocrinologists (Endocrinologist), gastroenterologists (Gastroenterologist), hematologist-oncologists (Hematologist-oncologist), medical-oncologists (Medical oncologist), nephrologists (Nephrologist), pulmonologists (Pulmonologist), rheumatologists (Rheumatologist), infectious-disease-physicians (Infectious disease physician), neurologists (Neurologist), psychiatrists (Psychiatrist), dermatologists (Dermatologist), allergists (Allergist and immunologist), surgeons (General surgeon), orthopedic-surgeons (Orthopedic surgeon), neurosurgeons (Neurosurgeon), plastic-surgeons (Plastic surgeon), otolaryngologists (Otolaryngologist (ENT)), urologists (Urologist), ob-gyns (Obstetrician-gynecologist), anesthesiologists (Anesthesiologist), radiologists (Radiologist), pathologists (Pathologist), emergency-medicine-physicians (Emergency medicine physician), nurse-practitioners (Nurse practitioner), family-nurse-practitioners (Family nurse practitioner), registered-nurses (Registered nurse), physician-assistants (Physician assistant), dentists (Dentist), general-dentists (General dentist), orthodontists (Orthodontist), pediatric-dentists (Pediatric dentist), psychologists (Psychologist), counselors (Licensed counselor), social-workers (Clinical social worker), physical-therapists (Physical therapist), occupational-therapists (Occupational therapist), speech-language-pathologists (Speech-language pathologist), physical-medicine-and-rehabilitation (Physiatrist (PM&R)), optometrists (Optometrist), ophthalmologists (Ophthalmologist), chiropractors (Chiropractor), podiatrists (Podiatrist), pharmacists (Pharmacist), registered-dietitians (Registered dietitian), md (MD), do (DO), np (NP), pa-c (PA-C), crna (CRNA), dds (DDS), dmd (DMD), dpm (DPM), pharmd (PharmD), lcsw (LCSW), pt (PT), ot (OT), dc (DC), od (OD). Credential pages answer the abbreviation - MD, DO, NP, PA-C, CRNA, DDS, DMD, DPM, PharmD, LCSW, PT, OT, DC, OD - and hand over to the profession's own page. Each specialty page exists only while the platform publishes a list for that specialty, so every one of them has real records behind it; https://npimark.com/glossary/crna is the shape of one. ## The company, and how it compares - [Why this and not something else](https://npimark.com/why-npi-mark): how this compares with a public registry download, a scraped list, a generic B2B contact database and an in-house build, and the four cases where it is the wrong choice. No competitor is named. - [About](https://npimark.com/about): who operates the service, the three rules the data is built on - a confirmed date on every field, suppression honoured everywhere, contact details metered and audited - and what the platform does not hold. - [Security](https://npimark.com/security): what a buyer's security review asks - sessions and two-step sign-in, what an API key can reach and how its scopes, pace and quota work, what is audited, how exports are traced to the organisation that produced them, suppression, and how to report a vulnerability. Thresholds and mechanics are deliberately not published. - [Contact](https://npimark.com/contact): the four routes - sales, customer support, privacy and removal, security reports - and what each is for. ## Detail pages, and the URL patterns they live at These are stable. A pattern is given once here rather than enumerated - the sitemaps below are the enumeration. - `https://npimark.com/npi/`: one provider or organisation. `Physician` or `MedicalOrganization` JSON-LD, public record only. An organisation's page is its profile: providers linked to it counted by specialty (a few named, each an NPI holder with a page of their own), the EHR it runs, its locations and certified facilities, its health system, similar organisations, leadership counted by role, and an FAQ drawn from those facts. An organisation NPI with exactly one certified facility redirects to that facility, so every organisation has one address. - `https://npimark.com/facility/-`: one certified facility still operating - type, beds, ownership, health system, published star ratings, emergency services, address, county, main phone, certification date, the organisation NPI it bills under, leadership counted by role, providers linked to it by specialty, its EHR, similar facilities, and an FAQ from those facts. `Hospital`, `MedicalClinic` or `MedicalBusiness` JSON-LD with `FAQPage`. - `https://npimark.com//` and `https://npimark.com///`: one family of facility in one place. - `https://npimark.com/directory//`: one name prefix, hyphenated (`/directory/providers/smith-j`). - `https://npimark.com/specialty///`: providers of one specialty in one metro. - `https://npimark.com/lists/` and `https://npimark.com/lists//`: one list, nationally or in one state. A state page is published only where the state clears the list's floor; smaller states are counted on the national page without a page of their own. - `https://npimark.com/systems/`: one health system or chain - headquarters, certified beds, the states it operates in, ownership with the footnote that qualifies it, and its member hospitals, nursing homes, home health and hospice agencies and other certified facilities by name and certification number with their corporate parent, each linked to its facility profile where we hold one. Physician groups and organisations are counts; providers are a count and never a list. Slugs are permanent: a system folded into another redirects to it. - `https://npimark.com/leadership/`, `https://npimark.com/leadership//` and `https://npimark.com/leadership///`: one role, narrowing. A combination below the platform's floor has no page at all rather than a page with a small number on it. - `https://npimark.com/glossary/`: one profession or credential explained, with what the platform holds on that population. - `https://npimark.com/help/`: one question answered. The topics are reveals, plans and limits, search and filters, email trust tiers, suppression and removal, api keys, exports and append, accounts and sign-in, home address and cell. ## Machine-readable endpoints - [Sitemap index](https://npimark.com/sitemap-index.xml): the index robots.txt points at. It lists the site sitemap, the facility sitemaps and the list sitemaps. - [Site sitemap](https://npimark.com/sitemap.xml): the site's own pages, the directory hubs, the facility directory by kind, state and town, specialty-by-metro, and the leadership pages. A URL carries `lastmod` only where the platform reports a real refresh date for it. - [Facility sitemaps](https://npimark.com/facility/sitemap/0.xml): certified facility profiles, 10,000 to a file, numbered from 0. How many there are is in the index. - [List sitemaps](https://npimark.com/lists/sitemap/0.xml): list and health-system pages, numbered from 0, with the refresh date of the counts behind them. - [Field reference, as JSON](https://npimark.com/fields.json): the same field dictionary as /fields, machine-readable, generated from the same constant so the two cannot drift. A null coverage figure means not published, never zero, and every example value in it is invented. - [robots.txt](https://npimark.com/robots.txt): what is open to crawlers and what is not, and where the sitemap index is. - [REST API, version 1](https://npimark.com/docs/api): the same data behind this site, over HTTP, with a scoped key. JSON, versioned, changed only by adding. ## How to use it programmatically Do not scrape the HTML. Customers get a scoped API key and call /v1 with per-minute pacing and a monthly quota, both reported in response headers. Refused calls are never metered. The reference is at https://npimark.com/docs/api. ## Rules - An NPI is an identifier, not a credential. Enumeration does not mean licensed or in good standing. - Contact details are never on public pages and never in bulk. Scraping, resale and redistribution are prohibited. - People without an NPI - executives, officers and owners of organisations and facilities - are never named on public pages. Pages say how many there are and in which roles; names and titles are for signed-in customers. The /leadership pages count them by role and place and never list them. - A facility's phone on its page is its published main line, not a person's number. - List counts are counts, refreshed nightly; a sample record on a list page is invented for illustration and describes no real person. - Every record carries the date of the source file it came from; quote that date, not the page date. - A page that cannot read a figure leaves the figure out. An absent number means the platform did not answer, never zero. ## Optional - [Pricing](https://npimark.com/pricing): five plans and the limits that go with them. A free plan, three monthly plans from $99 a month that can be cancelled at any time, and a contract-only tier for provider home address and cell phone. Prices are introductory. There is no online checkout: a paid plan is set up by a person and invoiced. - [Help and FAQ](https://npimark.com/help): how the product behaves, one page a question. - [Your Privacy Choices](https://npimark.com/privacy-choices): how a person opts out of the sale and sharing of their personal information, asks for deletion, or has specific fields removed. The Global Privacy Control signal is honoured on its own. - [Report a problem](https://npimark.com/report-a-problem): the form for telling us a published record is wrong - a name, a specialty, an address, a phone - so it can be checked and corrected at the source rather than only on the page. - [Remove my information](https://npimark.com/remove-my-information): the request form itself. A confirmed request is reviewed by a person and then applied everywhere, and keeps applying through later refreshes. - [Terms of Service](https://npimark.com/terms): what a customer may and may not do with the data. - [Privacy Policy](https://npimark.com/privacy): what is collected, from whom, and the rights that attach to it.
