What does OT stand for?

OT stands for occupational therapist: a licensed clinician who helps people carry out the everyday tasks a condition has made hard.

What the letters mean

Records usually carry the fuller form OTR/L - occupational therapist, registered and licensed - or the degree, MOT or OTD. Entry to practice is a master's or doctoral program, supervised fieldwork, a national certification examination and a state licence.

A COTA is a certified occupational therapy assistant, a separate credential working under supervision. Occupation here means any purposeful activity, from dressing to driving, and not employment.
