How this works, in plain words.
Everything below is how the platform actually behaves, not how a brochure would like it to. Where the honest answer is a limit, an absence or a refusal, it says so — because the version you find out later is the expensive one.
Nine pages, one question each.
Reveals
What a reveal is, what it costs, when it is free, and why a refused reveal is never counted.
Plans and limits
The four things every plan meters, how to see what you have left, and what happens when one runs out.
Search and filters
How the filters combine, and the difference between a classification and a specialisation.
Email trust tiers
What trusted, probable, doubtful and rejected mean, and what an unscored address counts as.
Suppression and removal
How an opt-out is applied everywhere, why nothing is deleted, and how someone gets removed.
API keys
Scopes, the per-minute pace, the monthly quota, the headers that report both, and where the reference is.
Exports and append
What lands in a file, how rows are counted, how your own file is matched, and how files are marked.
Accounts and sign-in
Seats and invitations, two-step sign-in, signing other sessions out, and who can change billing.
Home address and cell
The contracted product: how it is matched, what the confidence score means, and where it never appears.
The short answers.
What is a reveal?
Opening one provider's contact details. It is counted against your plan's monthly reveal allowance, the same provider is free for the rest of that month, and a reveal that is refused for any reason is never counted.
What happens when I reach a plan limit?
The request is refused before anything runs, and the refusal says how much you asked for, how much is left and what the limit is. Nothing is half-served: you never get a truncated file that has quietly spent your allowance.
What is the difference between a classification and a specialisation?
A classification is the broad heading a profession or specialty is filed under, and a specialisation is one kind of practice beneath it. Asking for a classification matches every specialisation under it, which is why a classification is usually the filter you want.
How do I get my own details removed?
Use the remove my information page. A confirmed request is reviewed by a person and then applied everywhere — search, public pages, counts, exports, appends and the API — and it keeps applying through later refreshes rather than being undone by them.
Are home address and cell phone available?
Only under a contract that states the permissible use, never over the API, and never on a public page. They are matched to the provider and carry a confidence score rather than being asserted as certain. Talk to us about what your agreement covers.
